Hospital Services
Covers semi-private hospital room. Coverage ends upon discharge, except for follow-up visits. Also includes outpatient treatment provided by a hospital.
Physician
Covers visits and care provided by a physician. Outpatient psychiatric care is only covered under the Other Professional Services benefit.
Ambulance Services
Covers licensed ground, air, or sea ambulance and paramedic services to the nearest hospital. Fire rescue is also covered if dispatched for a medical emergency. f no ambulance is available, taxi costs are reimbursed with a receipt.
Tutorial Services
Covers up to $20/hour (max $400) for private tutoring if you’re hospitalized for 30 consecutive days or more.
You are eligible for coverage if:
At the time of application:
You are 69 years or under; and,
You are not travelling against a physician or other registered medical practitioner's advice; and,
You are not receiving palliative care or palliative care has not been recommneded; and,
On the effective date of the policy, you are a full-time or part-time international student enroleld in a school in Canada.
Coverage will be void if you are not a full-time or part-time international student enrolled in a school in Canada on the effective date of the policy.
